About Mewvale

Mewvale makes one thing: the Mewvale Moon, a crescent body pillow built to be held.

Why we made it

Plenty of people go to bed and start building. One pillow between the knees, one to hug, one wedged behind the back, and by morning half of them are on the floor. Side sleepers, people who sleep alone, people whose partner is away, people who wake up stiff and sore: most of us have just accepted that this is how nights go.

We looked at what was on offer. Body pillows and pregnancy pillows tended to be flat, bulky, stuffed with fill that clumps, or wrapped in fabric that feels rough against skin. Very few seemed built to last.

What we built instead

The Mewvale Moon is a 59 inch crescent, about 13 lb, filled with vegan down you can add to or take out, and dressed in a removable zip cover. One pillow does the work of the pile: hug the top, tuck the bottom between your knees, or turn over and let the curve hold your back.

What we care about

• Comfort you can adjust, not a fixed firmness you have to live with.
• A cover that comes off and goes in the wash.
• Straight answers about shipping, returns and what the pillow can and cannot do.
